Tape: essential for all your lettering and detailed visuals

When using a specific sublimation paper, the simplest shapes can be easily cut out with scissors and transferred to the fabric of your choice. However, if you want to create a more complex design with lettering for example, you will probably need a transfer film, also called Tape.

Indeed, Tape is strongly recommended if your visual has lettering. This will allow you to maintain the spacing between the letters or their alignment. In addition, you will gain in precision by using a Tape.

Steps for using a Tape

  1. Remove the protective paper from the tape gently
  2. Gently apply the tape to your visual
  3. Run the squeegee to remove air bubbles
  4. Turn the set upside down (the tape should be face down on the table)
  5. Remove the liner from the printable flex
  6. Place the tape + flex on your textile, protect it with a protective sheet
  7. Press for 15 seconds at 120°C with medium pressure (150°C - 20 seconds for Nylon)
  8. Remove the cold tape

To improve the adhesion and durability of your visual, you can also carry out a second pressing of your personalised textile, by protecting your support with a protective sheet.
