Customise your smartphone shell!

Our Smartphone, we pamper it, we protect it! An ally to stay "connected" and which nobody can do without today. The personalised case has become the must-have accessory of the moment to stand out and have a unique phone.

What are you waiting for to get started?

To make your customised shell, you will need :

- A Sawgrass SG500 or SG1000 dye sublimation printer
- A set of 4 Sublijet ink cartridges
- Sublimation paper, Truepixtype
- A heat press such as the 38 x 38 cm Side Opening Press
- A blank sublimable smartphone shell (metal plate to sublimate is included)
- A roll of high temperature tape
- A pair of high temperature gloves
- A protective sheet, such as teflon sheet

1. Print your visual

Choose your design and import it into Creative Studio (available at www.sawgrassink.com).
Select the "phone cover" template, add your design and text, and then print in "mirror" mode using your SPM (Smart Print Manager) software by selecting the "metal" support.

There are many trends in products such as phone cases . Smartphone owners like to change their shells according to the seasons or events. Opt for more cocooning colours for winter and funkier colours for summer.

There is also an increase in the number of personalisations with a photo or a first name. In general, the personalisation of phone cases is a great success for all occasions: birthdays, Christmas ...

2. Set up your press

Here, for a transfer on phone cases smartphones, we advise you to set your press to a temperature of 160°C and to press for about 60 seconds with strong pressure.

3. Make your transfer

Has your press come to temperature? You can now place your printed visual on the plate, printed side down. Remember to remove the transparent film from the plate before placing your visual on the substrate.
For a better hold, we advise you to fix the sublimation paper with high temperature tape and to put a protective sheet (Teflon sheet, matte finish sheet or greaseproof paper) to protect your press and your substrate.

Are you ready? Press on!

Please note: Generally speaking, the procedure for sublimation is always the same: Printing, Parameter settings in the SPM software, Press parameter settings, Heat transfer.

4. Assemble your hull

Driiing, driiing! The time is up. Using your high-temperature gloves, perform the hot peel. This means that you must immediately after pressing the paper and the high temperature tape.
To assemble your sublimated plate on your hull is very simple, you just have to remove the protective film present on the hull to let the adhesive coating appear. Then, stick the plate on the shell and press strongly a few seconds, your shell is ready!

A little tip: To optimise your production, you can work in "amalgam", i.e. you can sublimate several phone cases at the same time. To do this, proceed as indicated above, place several plates on the press and press them all at the same time!

Now your hull is ready!
