A gnawing ink is a water-based ink. It can be used as an undercoat for printing with water-based or plastisol inks. This new and unique formula allows the base to look and behave more like a plastisol ink rather than a water-based ink.

After opening the jar, you will immediately notice that this base is creamier, holds better and looks shinier than any other base you have used before.

Our rodent ink can be used with most 100% cotton T-shirts (does not set on polyester).

WARNING: white etching ink, as well as neutral etching ink, must be activated with a activating agent.

This agent should be mixed at the base in a proportion of 4 to 6% (we recommend 6%). Make sure that you only activate the amount of ink you need for your print job, because once mixed, the ink has a service life of 6 to 8 hours.

How to apply a base coat: An undercoat can be applied by printing on gummy ink that will alter the colour of your substrate. Dry quickly (flasher) and then do your print wet on wet. For a silky, shiny result try our white rodent bases which will create a white base.

Tip Créadhésif : use white gummy ink to obtain a silky and glossy finish.

  2. Rodent base for plastisol ink: Ryocharge

    Product In stock

    Ref.:ryocharge

Imagine the look and feel of a gnawing ink with plastisol. Just add 50% RyoCharge additive with 50% plastisol ink, mix with the activator and you can now print with a hybrid plastisol/rodent ink. RyoCharge additive works very well with all Plastisol inks.

Note, RyoCharge base must be activated with activator for rodent ink

Available in 1 gallon or 5 gallon jars

    Application:

    1) Mix RyoCharge 50/50 with your Plastisol ink. Stir until a homogenous consistency is obtained for mixing. Do not use high speed mixers that can heat the ink and make it harden in the container.
    2) Add 3 to 6% by weight of activating agent to the mixture, and mix until the agent is completely dissolved in the ink.

Once mixed, the ink can be kept for up to 24 hours.

    Printing:

Use a squeegee with high hardness. Print wet-on-wet without intermediate drying. The true colour will only appear once the baking process has been completed. On long print runs, when dry, spray the screen with water to improve ink viscosity.

    Drying:

Bake for a minimum of 90 seconds at 160°C to activate the gumming agent and obtain good wash resistance. Evaporation of the water too quickly stops the gnawing reaction and can lead to dull colours.
